Diagnosed in 2005 with Bipolar Disorder, in the first year I was given over twenty different psychiatric medications and was hospitalized for a short time.

Over the next eight years, after a University Degree, working in politics and entering the corporate world in the field of communications, I began to write about my experiences. A chance encounter in late 2013 prompted me publish my first blog about my Mental Health.

I have been a regular contributing writer to the Healthy Minds Canada blogging team since January 2014, and also frequently have speaking engagements at offices and special events on the topic of wellness in the workplace and Anti-Stigma promotion.

I want to change minds about what it means to be Mentally Ill.  What it means to fight a chronic illness that others cannot see.
